Fortresses are locations you can discover on the map where you can battle alongside other players and defeat Foes. Foes are the AI enemies that you will battle.

Fortresses require a Runestone to enter. You can gather Runestones by finding Foundables.

Professions get different damage bonuses or penalties when battling certain Foes. Some professions may have better luck fighting Spiders while other professions may have better luck fighting against Dark Wizards.

The Auror profession is most effective when battling against Dark Forces.
The Magizoologist profession is most effective when battling against Beasts.
The Professor profession is most effective when battling against Curiosities.

Fortresses are indicated on the map by structures that look like this:

When battling a Fortress only one player can engage a single enemy at a time. You can have up to 5 players in your team. It’s recommended having a range of professions in your team.

Players which are currently not in combat can help the player that is in combat by using their abilities. For example, Magizoologist could be outside healing the players that are currently battling to assist in defeating the Foe.

Rewards are not affected by having multiple players compete in a battle against a fortress. The same rewards are given as if you were battling solo.

Some of the rewards given when completing a Fortress battle.

Higher floors are restricted by your player level. If you are too low of a level to complete the floor you will need a higher level teammate to progress past the floor.
